Bob Keach
Bob Keach started his law practice in 1999 after working as an associate at a large class action firm in Washington, DC and a small firm in Albany. Mr. Keach graduated from Penn State University in 1993 as a University Scholar, receiving degrees in both Geography and Economics with high distinction. Mr. Keach then attended New York University for his legal education, graduating in 1996. Since that time, Bob has litigated in federal and state courts in eight states and the District of Columbia. Mr. Keach is permanently admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and Maryland state courts, and is also a member of the Bar of the following federal courts: United States District Courts for the Northern District of New York, Western District of New York, District of New Jersey, District of Maryland and Western District of Pennsylvania; United States Courts of Appeal for the Second Circuit, Third Circuit, Fourth Circuit and Ninth Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Keach has also handled litigation in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Middle District of Pennsylvania, Southern District of Texas and District of Arizona while admitted to practice pro hac vice. While Bob has participated in a wide range of challenging litigation, some of which has received national attention, he takes his greatest pride in his efforts to advocate for those who would have no voice but for that of an advocate.
In October 2009, Mr. Keach will be designated a Master Advocate by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, having completed the extensive course work necessary for the designation.
Bob lives in Montgomery County, New York with his wife, two children, three cats and a blockheaded Chesapeake Bay Retriever. His spare time is spent cheering for his beloved Penn State Nittany Lions, and rooting for Robby Gordon in the Jim Beam Number 7 Chevrolet, being his son’s Cubmaster and coaching the Amsterdam Youth Soccer Club’s U-10 travel team. His patron saint is Maximilian Maria Kolbe, a Catholic Priest who died at Auschwitz. Maximilian Kolbe is the patron saint of prisoners.
